The only non-toxic(1) paint that actually removes VOCs from the air.

The revolutionary air purifying technology of ECOS Air Pure Paints combines the base of ECOS Paints with a unique filtration capability that removes contaminants such as formaldehyde, acetone, glycol and benzene from the air. The result, you can turn every wall in your home into a giant filter, each one removing toxic chemicals from the air that you breathe. For twenty years Air Pure Paints have been bringing relief to the chemically sensitive, asthma sufferers and the environment.

How do ECOS Pure Paints work?

ECOS Air Pure Paint contains a molecular sieve, designed to adsorb a targeted range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the atmosphere. The sieve (a non-toxic, crystalline tube) is sized to allow small molecules such as nitrogen, or oxygen to pass unimpeded, while larger molecules (organic compounds) become trapped. As a result, ECOS Air Pure Paints continually filter the surrounding air. Over time, the paint may become saturated, which can be remedied simply by applying a fresh coat of ECOS Air Pure Paint. ECOS Air Pure Paint – a proven solution for removing harmful, organic chemicals from your home.

How effective are ECOS Air Pure Paints?

Air Pure Paints were evaluated for their effectiveness in removing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from a closed system. The results showed a significant adsorption of many harmful VOCs commonly found indoors.

Frequent Questions about Ecos organic paints

Why is solvent-free important?

Because not only are lingering paint smells in the home unpleasant, but many paints including most matt and silk paints contain solvents which are positively harmful and cause Sick Building Syndrome, Danish Painters Syndrome, asthma, allergies and chemical sensitivities; also, many „natural“ paints contain ethereal oils, or terpene oil solvents which are known to generate carcinogenic micro particles with the ozone in your home. (Univ. Ca. Berkeley).

Are ECOS products suitable for use in babies rooms or for those with chemical sensitivities, asthma, allergies, M.E. etc

Yes, ideally so - no need to vacate any rooms at any time. All are entirely Non-Toxic & EN71:3 compliant - free of heavy metals.

Can I reduce my Carbon footprint by using Ecos products?

Yes.

Do Ecos paints contain any animal products?

None of our products contain any animal product of any kind and they are therefore suitable for both vegetarians and vegans. None are tested on animals.

Why are Eos Paints Organic?

All Ecos products are free of pesticides, free of herbicides and entirely non-toxic - a fact which the Founder was happy to demonstrate recently to the HSE . He consumed a spoonful of Ecos paint chosen at random by them from a container in the factory.

Yes.

Does the use of VOC-free paint help to counter climate change?

Yes, it really does, and in no small measure. The use of paints worldwide emitted something in the order of 20 - 25 million tonnes of VOCs into the atmosphere and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future if things don't change. By using VOC-free paints, you are helping to do your bit to save the planet, reduce air pollution & reduce this needless waste of our valuable finite resources.
